Remote thing test lab for busy developers

Thingrig provides remote access to a virtual test lab equipped with real home energy devices such as photovoltaic (PV) systems, EV chargers, heat pumps and battery storage. Our service allows companies to test, validate, and integrate their hardware and software solutions in a realistic environment—without the need to invest in or maintain expensive equipment.

Thingrig.com goes live

This is for now our public face, we will be updating this page soon with means to signup for a newsletter and registration for our closed beta. As well as progress on building this service.

We’re building Thingrig

A virtual test lab where developers, engineers, and energy tech teams can remotely test their software and systems on real hardware—like PV setups, EV chargers, inverters, and more.

To kick things off, we’ve launched a basic website to share what we’re working on and to gather interest and feedback. The lab isn’t live yet, but the idea is simple: You book time, log in remotely, and test your integrations, firmware, or platforms on real gear—without having to buy and wire it all up yourself.

“We’ve all hacked tests together with borrowed devices and temporary rigs. We want to make that easier, more reliable, and scalable,” says the team behind Thingrig.

We're aiming this at developers building HEMS platforms, charger backends, grid integration tools, and anyone else dealing with energy systems who wants real-world testing without the real-world hassle.

We’re looking for feedback, early users, and folks interested in pilot access.
